Wooohooo, I'm done! A day late and a dollar short (okay, maybe I'm out a few dollars, LOL, but I didn't go out and buy anything.... just was hoarding it all in my stash!). For this one, I had the December stamp and the grungeboard ornaments from an old seasonal pack. So, I covered one ornament in some vintage text (from Little Women - a Christmas portion.... see the "Merry Christmas"... tee hee!) and put strips of red glitter on it. The other ornament I completely glittered, then put in a medallion from My Mind's Eye - sort of reminds me of those old WWII ornaments with the indentations in the center. A bit of tinsel, a few berry sprigs - this was fun and fairly stress free. Of course, I didn't really do anything that Tim demonstrated, other than glittering the ornament and stamping the month. Oh, and I used some crackle paint on the tops of the ornaments. Ah well, I like it.
So.... are you done? Are you going to finish? Which tag did you enjoy most? The least? I think I had the most fun with the first one (very time intensive, but back then we were just chomping at the bit, weren't we?). I really liked how my Day 5 turned out because I didn't actually *expect* to like it, but I do, probably because I love that Santa image. Ditto with Day 2. I think my least favorite was Day 4 with the facets and the bling.... cool technique, but my overall tag left me a bit "blah." And you know of my love/hate relationship with the Day 11 tree, LOL!
I'd love to hear about your overall impressions of the big Tim Tag Ride. Hope your holidays are going along happily. :)
Lovely tag and glad you have had fun :D

Fabulous ornaments! Each and everyone of your tags have been splendid! Love them all!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful tag, really like the baubles and how you have embellished them. Wonderful end to all your fabulous tags. Tracy Evans xx
ReplyDeleteWow, you got there. I did not do the tags, but I have enjoyed watching everybody else doing them.
ReplyDeleteThis is a lovely one. Looks like it was fun to do.
Have a wonderul week, Jean.

This is beautiful Jean. Love the ornaments and pretty leaves and berries. :)
ReplyDeleteYour tag is wonderful! I like it way better than Tim's. Day 2 was my favorite and day 12 was my least favorite. The best thing this year has been seeing what everyone comes up with. A world full of creativity. I am busy making a holder to mount my tags today.
ReplyDeleteJean, I truly like your version better than Tim's here. Your ornaments are both terrific.
ReplyDelete(It was a gas doing Tim's Tags, but I am glad to be moving on to other things.)
your tags are inspirational and I have to say I prefer them to Tims....well done, I love them all

Awesome Jean. One of your best!!!
ReplyDeleteI had fun but ready to try new things, it was hard keeping up!
I see you are ending your take on tags with a bang...this one is a stunner!
ReplyDeleteA gorgeous tag!
ReplyDeleteWhat a festive and fabulous tag Jean!
ReplyDeleteI think this is the best substitution I have seen yet! I LOVE the ornaments, especially the glitter! Out of all the tags, I really loved tag 9, well, Tim's tag, I'm not sure about how mine turned out, even though I copied it pretty much as is. lol.
ReplyDeleteJean, i've looked at many of your tags and all i can say is GORGEOUS! such beautiful work. i'm in awe of all of you who took on this major tag challenge! all the best and happiest of holidays. xo
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Love that you created two ornaments. My favorite was day 6 or 9. :)
ReplyDeleteFirst, thanks for stopping by my blog!!! I really appreciate your comments. The card I made with the snowflakes is an interpretation of Tim's day 6 tag. I stamped directly on the empty space of the embossing folder. I saw that you used the snowman folder for that tag, and that would have been a great one to use for stamping directly on the folder. Speaking of your tags, they are gorgeous!!! I couldn't even pick a favorite!! You did a great job with each of them!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Jean. All so beautiful. I see you used text from one of my all time favourite books. Lynne M
ReplyDeleteAnother beautiful tag... does your mind ever sleep??? Especially loved how you used the text on one of the ornaments. You are such a clever girl.
ReplyDeleteEvery single one of your tags inspired me- and I'm hoping to play over the holiday break and make a set for myself!
Beautiful tags. I liked Day 5, the Santa one too. I can't really pick a favourite. I also enjoyed doing 6, 7, 9 and 10 a lot.
