Play Date Cafe Challenge #23
Coming in just under the wire with this one! The challenge at The Play Date Cafe this week is to work with this gorgeous inspiration picture of wonderful blues. I decided to BOA - bring out the ancient! The papers are from K and Co. and Laura Ashley (the printed vellum). Seriously old - using up that stash! The stamps are from Cornish Heritage Farms - Vintage Chintz backgrounder and Beautiful. I added a little Rock Candy Stickles and Diamond Dust to the butterfly to bring some sparkle, and scrunched up some blue ribbon by pulling and gathering it along the twine that ran down its center. Nothing too complicated, really. A very fun challenge, since it's my favorite color! :) Take a look at all the wonderful creations this week at The Play Date Cafe... the design team have really outdone themselves with their beautiful blues.
I love this card - blue is always such a crisp, clean, happy color! Jennifer jennsthreegraces
ReplyDeleteVery pretty - I love anything done in blues!
ReplyDeleteJust Beautiful, I am just in love with you work.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! I wanted to participate and when I started looking in my stash...I don't have ANY blue other than cardstock. All I had was lots of turquoise. :) GO figure.
ReplyDeleteBlue is not a favourite colour of mine but this blue is beautiful - has a faded romance to it much in contrast to many of the blues available. Your artwork always has such an air of elegance to it which is one of it's appealing factors to me. Beautiful. Lynne M x
ReplyDeleteJean, how is it possible for you to have a more beautiful project than the last every stinkin week? This one is simply breathtaking!
ReplyDeleteFabulous! What a beautiful butterfly!

ReplyDeleteAHHH! Beautiful! I must play at play date but must admit i'm a tad intimidated by all the glorious talent over there. :/
